Terms and conditions
The terms you agree to when you join. Please read them before you sign up.

1. About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you (the parent or carer who signs up, aged 18 or over) and Greywood Group Ltd, trading as Arxspire, registered in England and Wales (company number [company number]), registered office [registered office address]. "We" means Arxspire. "Your student" means the student you sign up.
2. The free assessment
The free assessment is one per student, with no obligation to join. It takes place in an empty place in one of our normal sessions. Occasionally we may need to move it to another time, and we'll tell you as soon as possible.
3. Memberships
| One subject | Both subjects | |
|---|---|---|
| Subjects | Maths or English | Maths and English |
| Sessions | Up to 4 a week | Up to 4 a week in each subject |
| Standard price | £280 a month | £450 a month |
| Founder price | £250 a month | £400 a month |
Sessions last one hour, within our opening hours: weekdays 15:30 to 19:30 and weekends 10:00 to 14:00. We're open in school holidays and closed on bank holidays. One instructor looks after up to four students, each working on their own learning plan. A student can have one session a day, or two in a day if one is maths and one is English and they don't overlap. Sessions not used in a week don't carry over to the next week.
4. The founder price
The founder price is for the first 50 families to join. It stays the same for 24 months from your first payment, as long as your membership continues. After 24 months, the standard price applies, and we'll remind you at least 30 days before. If you leave and later rejoin, the price at the time you rejoin applies.
5. Booking sessions
- Sessions are released 30 days ahead. You can book up to the day before a session.
- You can cancel a booking up to 24 hours before it starts. [does a later cancellation, or a session missed without cancelling, count as used?]
- We match your student with an instructor who has space. If we ever have to cancel a session, we'll offer another time.
6. Paying
- First payment: by card, for the days left in the month you join. If you join in the last 7 days of a month, it also covers the next month.
- After that: by Direct Debit on the 1st of each month, for that month. If the 1st isn't a working day, it's taken on the next working day.
- If a payment fails: we'll email you a link to pay by card. If it isn't paid within 7 days, bookings after the date you've paid up to are cancelled until it's paid.
- Price changes: apart from the founder price promise, we may change our prices with at least 30 days' notice. You can leave before the change if you don't agree.
[whether prices include VAT]
7. Your right to change your mind (14 days)
You can cancel within 14 days of joining, for any reason, by emailing us. If you asked for sessions to start within those 14 days, we'll refund what you paid, less a fair amount for the sessions already provided.
8. Leaving
- Email us to give 30 days' notice. Your membership ends on the last day of the month in which the 30 days run out.
- For example: notice on 10 November means 30 days runs to 10 December, so your last day is 31 December, and your last payment is the Direct Debit on 1 December.
- If you cancel your Direct Debit before your last payment is taken, your membership ends on the last day of the last month you paid for, and later bookings are cancelled.
9. Holidays and pauses
[whether a membership can be paused, for how long, and whether payments pause too]
10. When we may end a membership
We may end a membership if payments aren't made, or if behaviour puts students or staff at risk, after talking to you first wherever we can. If we end a membership for a reason that isn't your fault, we'll refund any days you've paid for and not used.
11. Sessions
- Your student joins through their own private link. Please don't share it.
- You're responsible for a suitable device and a reliable internet connection. If a problem on our side stops a session, we'll offer another.
- Sessions are never recorded by us, and must not be recorded, photographed or screenshotted by anyone at home.
- [must a parent or carer be at home during sessions?]
12. Our materials
Our worksheets, assessments, whiteboard and everything on our platform belong to us. They're for your student's use in their sessions only, and must not be copied, shared or recorded.
13. Safeguarding
We follow our safeguarding policy. If we're worried about a student's safety, we may share information with the right authorities, as the law requires.
14. Our responsibility to you
We'll provide our sessions with reasonable care and skill. We can't promise particular school or exam results. Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility where the law doesn't allow it, or affects your legal rights as a consumer.
15. Complaints
Email hello@arxspire.com. We'll reply within [5 working days].
16. Changes to these terms
We'll email you at least 30 days before any change that affects you. If you don't agree, you can leave before it takes effect.
17. The law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
